evoXX has many years of experience in the area of industrial biotechnology and is able to develop novel biocatalytic processes along the whole value chain from identification of novel biocatalysts to the pilot scale of bioconversions. Our biocatalysts are applied in Pharma and various consumer goods industries, including the production and refinement of textiles, adhesives, detergents, nutrition and cosmetics.
In the frame of ROBOX evoXX will isolate various enzymes, mainly ADHs and other oxidative enzymes, based on an in silico screening and will evaluate their potential as an industrial biocatalyst. That comprises their biochemical characterization as well as their producibility in different host organism. Since native enzymes are rarely able to catalyze reactions involving artificial substrates, nor do they generally remain stable under certain process conditions, we, together with our Robox-Partners, will further engineer industrial enzymes by directed evolution for customized processes.
