c-LEcta partners in a consortium led by DSM for the development of enzymatic oxidative processes |
c-LEcta is proud to announce its partnership in “ROBOX”, a EU Horizon 2020 granted project, which aims at expanding the industrial use of robust oxidative biocatalysts and is led by DSM Chemical Technology R&D B.V. The EU initiative Horizon 2020 intends to bridge the gap between innovative developments and the demonstration of their applicability in pilot scale. The industrial lead and target compounds selection by the industrial partners DSM and Givaudan demonstrates the needs of enzymatic oxidative routes for sustainable and economic processes in industry. These objectives will be strived by a consortium that will combine the resources of 19 partners with a well balanced mix of industrial and academic groups from 10 different countries across Europe. The main objective of c-LEcta in the consortium is to apply its platform of proprietary alcohol dehydrogenases (ADHs) for oxidative reactions in industrial applications. In particular, c-LEcta holds an advanced collection of ADHs which includes enzymes that are prequalified for their fast availability and simple application in large scale processes. Hence, one of the industries major requirements, the scalability of newly developed technologies and processes, is enabled. Further information on these unique ADHs and other prequalified biocatalysts can be found at c-LEcta’s Plug&Play BiocatsTM. In the consortium c-LEcta will further work on the expansion of its enzyme engineering platform focusing on the use of bioinformatic tools. We are pleased to be part of the consortium and looking forward to a fruitful collaboration. Further information about the project can be found at http://www.h2020robox.eu
The ROBOX project has received funding from the European Union (EU) project ROBOX (grant agreement № 635734) under EU’s Horizon 2020 Programme Research and Innovation actions H2020-LEIT BIO-2014-1. |
